Pipeline System

Approximately 80% of the raw materials that are received from maritime transport at this terminal are distributed to industrial plants belonging to three of our partners: Mexichem, Indelpro and Petrocel. There are 3 lines for the distribution of vinyl chloride, paraxilene and propylene. The length of the line for paraxilene product is approximately 16 km long. The average rate of delivery by this system is about 70 metric tons per hour.

This system operates under strict security measures which include communications between control rooms prior to, during and after the transfers, constant monitoring through a distributed control system the design of which includes 3 sections, each of which is located every 5 km along the path of the lines, predictive and maintenance programs, integrated equipment, cathode protection, etc..

The pipeline system is subject to inspections that include daily on-site inspections in each of the sections by our security personnel at the facilities mentioned above and a weekly trip that includes new sections and the rights of way along the entire length of the lines. We have also developed an emergency response program ECO (Emergencies in the Community), which has enabled us to perform simulations that include the evacuation of and the participation with the Francisco Medrano community.
